I decided that I would rebuild both. I started with enthusiasm making two sets of woodwork for the sides and roof. I had enough metal folded to make two sets of metal that form the sub-

It is in decent running order, but as always there are things a new owner could improve. I have always repaired any defects properly, and while I have had it we have done about 4000 miles since an engine rebuild, in its previous ownership, by Bruce Young, who also did some other work on it for then owner John Brown.

‘1925 Trojan Utility with longstanding Trojan and VSCC history
For Sale Unique 1925 Charlesworth Bodied Trojan Estate Wagonette
Built for Lord James Dugdale of Wroxall Abbey Estate in Warwickshire who commissioned Charlesworth to build the body. The vehicle was discovered in use as a cricket pitch roller in the 1980s and subsequently restored and rallied including participation in the HCVC London to Brighton rally. Sadly, following the death of the former owner, the vehicle fell into disrepair and is now offered for sale as a restoration project. The vehicle has been in dry storage and is mechanically complete, though lacking windscreen, lamps and tailboard. There is a box full of provenance to include photographs, literature, original service books, parts catalogue and paperwork to support its history.
The vehicle is currently stored in South Wales, just off junction 37 of the M4 and some 45 minutes from the Severn Bridge. The negotiable asking price is in the region of £7,000. Contact Stephen Morrell email@example.com
